If I Should Die Before I Wake

Round 2, I missed my mark.  I started my reading for my fifth task and am comfortable with finishing it on Saturday, and I couldn’t figure out what the essay question is for my film class essay due on Tuesday - my fourth task for Friday.  Looks like Saturday night after a day of interviews and a funeral of a family member I will be back to the books to get a couple extra things done.  Saturday will be my weekend hump day and I look forward to it.

Now if I’m not up and at em’ in the morning my life take-aways from the day would be to realize that seizing the moral high ground when dealing with people who (to me) are egregiously pursuing their self-interests in struggles for power ultimately sets you on a path for success.  One of our tests in life is whether we are willing to sacrifice our self-interests for causes greater than ourselves.  Some people get that sooner than others.

Passion trumps politics I guess is what I’m trying to say.  Because with passion comes unlimited might and resilience when vying for your cause.  Pursue your passions everyday and life will certainly be meaningful.  Politics has its place but not when it gets to a point where it begins to sacrifice integrity.
